Poetry and Nonsense Verse, Bulletin Board Postings

What's The World Coming To?

What’s the world coming to?
     I’ve lost my flute,
     So I cannot toot,
And nothing’s worth humming to.

Why’s everyone so contrary?
     I’ve argued on topics,
     Kaleidoscopic,
From Dublin to Tipperary.

What’s the point of travelling?
     The further you go,
     The sooner you’ll know,
That mysteries need unraveling.

What’s the purpose of camouflage?
     If I go unseen,
     It will contravene,
The Geneva Convention, by and large.

When will I be famous?
     When you learn to behave,
     Make the royal wave,
And change your name to Seamus.
