Snakes

Oh answer me questions by Summer lakes,
On my favourite topic of tropical snakes.’
And answer those questions just one at a time,
As I practice my part for the pantomime.

Are snakes immune from measles?
Do snakies grow on trees?
Oh are they related to beagles?
And do they have thirty-three knees?

Do snakes eat corn flakes? Do snakes eat bran?
Do snakes wear shorts in a frying-pan?
Oh answer these questions, and questions more,
Before I have my mid-day snore.

Oh are they pink? Oh do they think?.
Or do they smuggle crockery?
Or do I seek to sneak a cock-a-snook at snake-like mockery?
